Running the ‘L’

By Yu Le

Adham Fisher of Leiceister, England has traveled to 15 cities, including London, New York and Paris in many attempts to break the record time for visiting all of the stations in a city’s public transit system. Fisher, 27, set the world record in Chicago last year, visiting all 143 stations in 9:36:08, but other challengers have since shattered it. Now, he takes a vacation from his undiclosed job to revisit every “L” station in a new, record-breaking time. To make it as fast as possible, he doesn’t only take trains, but also uses buses, and literally runs, in connection of train stations. We filmed Fisher’s expedition from the beginning to the end, but in order to prevent other challengers taking advantage of, we didn’t reveal his exact route.
